Cooking Tour in Oaxaca, Mexico

An acclaimed Oaxacan chef, restaurant owner and cooking school operator has recently launched a cooking tour program in Oaxaca, Mexico. This program offers fully personalized, custom designed tours of Oaxaca for small groups of chefs, foodies and fans of Mexican cuisine. Oaxaca is considered the gastronomic capital of Mexico, with culinary traditions dating back to the era of the Spanish Conquest.

The Spanish introduced many new foodstuffs to the state which were combined with the already rich and diverse indigenous food culture. Today, you can taste this tradition in Oaxaca's famous moles, tlayudas, pozole, estofados and more. Tour participants will have an opportunity to design their own tour, with suggestions from the tour organizers based on particular culinary passions and curiosities. Cooking classes will be held with renowned local chefs, along with visits to native marketplaces, fine restaurants, and roadside eateries.
